Owen Ramsay, LRQA Lead Assessor and ASQ Fellow will meet with section members on Saturday 3/25/2017 to assist them in developing skills that will enhance their professional and personal growth. The mentoring session is limited to 10 members. Topics that will be addressed are - 1) overcoming work related challenges, 2) Lean Six Sigma Rapid Improvement Methodology and its applications, and 3) insights into the various paths to professional development in the field of quality.

Environmental Sustainability
Hunter Lovins in the President of Natural Capitalism Solutions and is a known world wide for her work in the area of sustainable development. She is a renowned author and champion of using quality and innovation for sustainable development for over 30 years. She has taught at major universities, managed international non-profits, created several corporations, and advised governments and corporations in many areas such as sustainable development. Her work has involved many aspects of both quality and innovation, especially in the realm of Total Quality Management and Lean. Her latest book, Creating a Lean and Green Business System, won the Shingo Prize.

Education and Entrepreneurship
Dane Stangler is currently the Vice President of Research and Policy for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, in which he leads a team that performs research and studies in the area of entrepreneurship and education. His passion is creating new knowledge about entrepreneurship. He is an avid author that seeks to drive economic growth in an entrepreneurial economy and he has been a regular speaker in the area of entrepreneurship for national news outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, Real Clear Politics, and the Huffington Post. His passion has enabled him to work closely with policymakers at the national, state, and local levels; he has taken part in large initiatives and summits for both the White House and Congress, which focused on establishing policy and making innovative change in the area of entrepreneurship.

Technology and Strategic Innovation
Raj Echambdi is the Senior Associate Dean of MBA Programs & Strategic Innovation at the University of Illinois's College of Business; at this institution, he is also a Professor of Business Administration. Has has published and lectured in several areas of innovation and technology, including technology management, product design, technology and innovation, and strategic innovation. He also works closely with well known companies in the areas of innovation, strategic planning, product design, and customer loyalty. Raj seeks to use quality and innovation concepts in order to help companies and students understand how to integrate these concepts into their business strategy, customer loyalty and business practices.
